Amélie Poulain... looking at you!

Thanks to all of you who ventured a guess at the last post's question!
The answer was Amélie Poulain from the movie "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain" (The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain) also known as merely "Amélie", a 2001 movie starring Audrey Tautou.
Léia was the first to guess the movie and actress.
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding!!!!

I am not sure how I missed your last post. I would know Amelie's eyes anywhere, even if she had a Zoro mask on!

Margarida -- Who's stopping you from posting about Amelie!!!? I'd love to have corresponding topics! Yes, I've seen it... and seen it, and seen it... definitely one of my favorites of all time, right up there with Casablanca (my #1).

Silke -- I had such a hard time capturing the essence of these photos of her... I read so much into her character, it is so full of delight and wonder and spark, and I speculate that a mere image may not convey all of this... except for those of us who know her. Hmmm.

Belette -- I don't know either... unless you're ignoring me ;)
I wonder if the movie would've been made even better with the Zorro mask, with her leaving the mark of A wherever she went.

Ahhhh, you pulled a fast one here... put the answer up before I saw yesterday's... (no, actually, it's me who pulled a slow one ; TOO darn busy at work to get out enough every day)

Great movie though, great actress, ain't she sumthin' !?! And if you liked Amelie Poulain, have you seen "Un Long Dimanche de Fiancailles" again with Audrey T.? She's wonderful in that also if you haven't yet... not sure what the US title would be, or if it was even released there...???

Anya -- Thank you for the compliment and for giving a guess at the face. With all of the press about MJ lately, and the fact he is a massively more well known celeb, it makes total sense -- I see him in the second one (eyes only) as well!

Owen -- Yes... less than 24 hours is a "fast one" in the blog world. I'm only suprised that you missed it by a mere few hours.
Thanks for the heads-up on the other Audrey T. movie. I am checking into it soon!

I also arrived too late, but the guessing was hardly needed! You managed your portrait and eyes so perfectly!

I have some tiles on my blog today. You may be interested! :-)

Peter -- I know... I did not give enough time for dear friend's input, but for my purposes it was enough (selfish, selfish me ;), and your belated input is just as valuable... It substantiates the claim for me... thanks!
I also thank you for alerting me to your post on tiles, a very satisfying one indeed.

Léia -- That is alright, my friend... you get around to it when you do... I know the demands of life and blogging can collide!
Thank you for your answer and approval!
God bless you as well...

Celestina -- Thank you... but you are talented at many things, ever growing.

Lenore -- Never more can I tolerate a mediocre movie after seeing Amelie. Was I reaching too far for that teensie bit of humor? ;)

Lillie -- Thank you Queen SassyPants... I can vividly imagine your multiple facial expressions in the course of your comment. ;) :) :D :P

Just love this combination of photographs. I confess I've not seen the film but have the DVD sitting on my shelf with a broken DVD player! That will be rectified. I've heard such good things about it. Super post.
